Funeral services for Virginia Nora Belle Tuttle Hesson, 78, of Smithville were held July 7 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Michael hale officiated with burial following in Cannady Cemetery.
She passed away July 6 at NHC Healthcare Center. She was born September 7, 1935 to her parents, the late John Wesley, Sr. and Lorene Slayton Tuttle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Jenny Marmon, David Allen Hesson, Jr and Thomas Richard Hesson; one brother, John Wesley Tuttle, Jr;; two sisters, Peggy Lorene Silcox and Maggie Pearl Gray; two grandsons, Jimmy and Bobby Alred.
Ms. Virginia attended the House of Prayer and worked in the restaurant business for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Jo Alred of Old Hickory; granddaughter and caregiver, April (Martin) Coronado of Smithville; grandchildren, Gina Goodwin, Tanya Fox, Jerry Lynn Lowe, Thomas, Daniel and Greg Hesson all of Cleveland, David (Kathy) Hesson of Murfreesboro, James Hesson of Smithville, Phillip Alred of Old Hickory; two sisters, Louise (Larry) Wilkes of Madison and Earlene Flatt of Murfreesboro; great-grandaughter and caregiver, Alissya Coronado; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers included; Martin Coronado, Larry Wilkes, Ethan Taylor, Arturo Munoz, Michael Coronado and Jimmy Taylor.
