Funeral services for Walter Franklin Blair, 75, of Smithville, were held Oct. 4 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. John Powers and Bro. Robert Powers officiated with burial following in Bluff Springs Cemetery in Warren County.   
Mr. Blair passed away Oct. 2 at his residence. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, retired diesel mechanic, truck driver and a member of Gath Baptist Church.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Alma Capshaw Yeargin Blair; a sister, Lillie Mae Jones; and two brothers, Virgil Blair Jr. and Gentry Blair.
Survivors include his daughter, Sue (Lillard) Colwell of Smithville; two sons, Randy Blair, of Columbia, and Freddy (Denise) Blair, of Smithville, six grandchildren; brothers, Joe Atnip, of Centertown, and Troy Blair, of McMinnville; sisters, Vesta Kinney and Pauline Corbin, both of McMinnville; special friend and companion, Betty Spencer.
Pallbearers included Wesley Blair, Greg Hays, Robbie Lobellor, Brandon Dillion, Randy Blair and Steven Page.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Brandon Spencer, Matt Vanderpool, Ritchie Vanderpool, Donnie Bartley and Joey Burgess.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
