Funeral services for Carlos Lee Warden, 93, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Alexandria were held September 7, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church. Bro. Ronnie Smith officiated with burial following in New Hope Cemetery.

 

He passed away September 3 at Coventry Meadows Nursing Home, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

 

He was born July 11, 1922 in Overton County, TN to his parents, Joe Bob Warden and Zora Moore.

 

He was a farmer and a member and deacon of New Hope Baptist Church and served in the Army.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip Warden; sisters, Gertrude and Lela; one brother, Joe.

 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Warden of Fort Wayne, IN; children, Randall (Marge) Warden of Fort Wayne, IN, and Byron (Melva) Warden of Dickson; grandchildren, Andrea (Russ) Gindelberger, Erika Warden, and Logan Warden all from Fort Wayne, IN, Tracy (Tad) Webb of Smithviille, Adam (Lairen) Warden of Carthage, Daniel (Felicia) Warden of Smithville, and Kayla Warden of Dickson; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bill (Oleda) Warden, Lois (Bill) Whited, and Joyce (Joe) Marks.

 

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hope Cemetery.

 

Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria was in charge of the arrangements
