Wayne Reed Griffith, 70, of Liberty died Tuesday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was a Master Clocksmith and a Baptist. Griffith owned Clockworks on the square in Murfreesboro and had previously worked at Batey's Office Supply in Murfreesboro. The funeral was held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church.

Josh Brown officiated with burial following will in Salem Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Sally Jim Corley Griffith.

He is survived by a son, Brent and wife Cheri Griffith of Auburntown. Grandchildren, Tommy Griffith and Bethany Griffith of Auburntown. A sister, LeAnn Vandergriff of Liberty. A brother, Kenward and wife Jeanie Griffith of Liberty. Nieces and nephews, Kristin and Jeremy Hutchings of Sparta, Brittany Vandergriff of Sparta, Jonathan and Carrie Griffith of Murfreesboro, and Laura and Phil Metcalf of Mexico. Several great nieces and nephews survive.

Pallbearers included; Dwight Sadler, Doyle Evins, Donnie Davis, Eugene Waggoner, Kenneth Mullinax, and Frank Woods.

Anderson Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
