Will Cantrell, 84, of Smithville died Thursday at NHC of Smithville.

 

He was a retired Sergeant in the Air Force and served in the Korean War.

 

He was also a member of the Whorton Springs Baptist Church and a Civil Service Computer Programmer.

 

The funeral was held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Mike Carpenter officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

 

Cantrell was preceded in death by two wives, Shirley Cantrell and Margaret Cantrell; parents, Lonnie and Nonnie Rhody Cantrell; and a brother Bob Cantrell.

 

Survivors include four children, Michael and Lori Cantrell of Florida, Debbie Lynn and Dewayne Howell of Alabama, Kim and Pam Cantrell of Mount Juliet, and Allen Cantrell of Nashville. Seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren. One brother, James and Geraldine Cantrell of Smithville. One sister, Mertie Ann and Stan Williams of Old Hickory. Four nephews and two aunts, Mary Snow and Lena Rhody of Smithville.

 

Donations may be made to the Whorton Springs Building Fund.

 

Pallbearers included; Jeff and Stephen Cantrell, Edward and Tim McDonald, Randy West, and Michael Braswell.

 

 

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
