Funeral service for William Chanson Boman, II, age 44, of Cookeville were held November 20, 2017 at the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Harry Nickens and Rev. Danny Allen officiated with burial following in the Welch Memorial Cemetery.

He passed away on November 14, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. When a soldier goes to war and saves a bunch of people, they give him a medal of honor and call him a hero. Chanson had made the same decision when he deiced to save others by being an anatomical organ donor. He is a hero.

He was a computer technologist working with DeKalb County Schools in the IT Department. He was a graduate of Monterey High School Class of 1991, and of Tennessee Technological University graduating with a degree in Microbiology. He worked as a microbiologist in Virginia with ATCC and in Red Boiling Springs with Nestle Water.

Chanson was born October 18, 1973, in Crossville, to William “Bill” Boman of Monterey and the late Nancy Nickens Boman.

He is survived by his father, William “Bill” Boman (And Mimi And Her Son, Will) Of Monterey;   sister, Christian Boman Of Crossville; fiancée, Tiffany Boyd Of Cookeville.

D.M. Goff Funeral Home, Monterey, was in charge of the arrangements.
