Truitt

William Harold Truitt, 88, of Liberty passed away on July 16 at Woodbury Health and Rehab.

He was born October 26, 1927 in DeKalb County.

He was a farmer, a member of Prosperity Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Truitt and Loraine Anderson; wife of 65 years, Dorothy Crook Truitt; brother, Justin Truitt.

He is survived by niece, Melissa Garrison of Alexandria, Sue Marie (Mike) Brown of Brentwood; great nephew, Drew (Jordan) Brown, Tom (Jackie) Vickers of Smithville, Wes Brown of Atlanta, Russell (Lisa Ann) Vickers; great niece, Tiffany (Jim) Lay of Lebanon; nephew, Don (Carol) Crook, Junior (Kathleen) Crook both of Smithville; great nephew, Jacob (Kim) Crook; great-great nieces and nephews, Chase Gaither, Abigail Vickers, and Caroline and Nathaniel Crook.

Funeral services were held July 20, 2016 at the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home. Bro. Thurman Seber officiated with burial following in Prosperity Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Jacob Crook, Gary Anderson, Dave Butterbaugh, Daniel Butterbaugh, Jon Foutch, Chase Gaither, and Jim Lay.

Honorary Pallbearers; Donnie Crook, and Joe Foutch.

Anderson Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
