William Northcutt

William Adrienne Northcutt, Sr., 81, of Smithville, passed peacefully July 12, 2021 at Nashville Veteran’s Hospital.

William was born July 1, 1940 to George and Berneda Northcutt in Falmouth, KY.

He served in the Air Force and was stationed in Alaska from August 1957 to September 1959.

When he was in his younger years he drove sprint cars and stock cars at Fremont Speedway winning many trophies.

He was a licensed amateur radio operator (KF5CM) and a pro at Morse code.

William was preceded in death by parents George and Berneda Northcutt Gibsonburg, Son William Adrian Northcutt Jr. of Smithville, Tennessee, and Brother Larry Northcutt of Nevada.

He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 61 years Frances; children, Connie Rowan (Kenneth) of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Doreen Shepherd of Smithville, Gene Arnold (Anna) of Halton City, Texas, Valrie Pugh of Old Hickory; grandchildren, Shana Turner, Rachel Wilbert, Chastity Mahler, Carla Gaines, P.J. Shepherd, John Shepherd, Jason Shepherd, Nathan Shepherd, Taylor Pugh, Bobby Pugh, 15 great, grandchildren and three great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews; brothers, Dean Northcutt (Joanna), Wayne Northcutt, Wickie Northcutt (Shirley).  Sisters Joyce Labine and, Gloria Northcutt. 

A celebration of William’s life will be held at a later date.
