Willie Helen Davenport Warden, 93, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and formerly of Alexandria, died Thursday, January 28 at the Hearth at Sycamore Village, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born in DeKalb County, she was a homemaker, farmer, and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held February 1 at the New Hope Baptist Church. Ronnie Smith officiated and burial following in the New Hope Cemetery.

She was preceded in death (2015) by her husband of 62 years, Carlos Lee Warden; and her first husband of one year, Daniel Roy Hale (1944); parents, Carter Bee and Willie Macon Foutch Davenport; a son, Phillip Reed Warden; sisters, Hilda Lucille, Ruth Marie, Nettie Gennett, and Sarah Annette; brothers, Lonnie Cordell, Carter Glenn, John Henry, Hoyet Foutch, and Herbert Winette.

She is survived by Children; Randall and wife Marge Warden of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Byron and wife Melva Warden of Dickson; Grandchildren, Andra and Russ Gindelberger, Erika Warden and Logan Warden of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Tracy and Tadd Webb of Smithville, Adam and Lairen Warden of Carthage; Daniel and Felicia Warden of Smithville; and Kayla Warden of Dickson. Nine great grandchildren. Sisters, Ruby Earlene and her husband Garland Eastes. Brothers, Clarence Thomas and his wife Jimmy Davenport.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the New Hope Cemetery.

Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
