Wilma Lucille Garrison, age 88, of Alexandria passed away Friday night September 4, 2020 at NHC of Smithville.
Ms. Lucille worked for many years at Alexandria shirt factory, and she was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She was born July 21, 1932 to her parents the late William Delton and Ruth Hunt Vanatta. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Hoyte Garrison; a son, William Timothy Garrison; sisters, Lois Gregory, Lera Walden; brothers, William "Buddy" Vanatta, and Ray Donald Vanatta.
She is survived by son, Ronnie (Lisa) Garrison of Smithville; granddaughters, Rachel (Josh) Arnold of Smithville, Jessica (Ethan) Hale of Alexandria; great-grandchildren, Lucas River Garrison, Lucy Rayne Arnold, and John William Hale; sister, Brenda (David) Denney of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service was held Monday September 7, 2020 at the Smithville Church of God with Bro. Chris Moore and Bro. Graden Kirksey officiating. Burial followed in in Salem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Butch Agee, Jamie Hale, David Robinson, Eric Vanatta, Greg Fish, Scott Garrett, and Kevin Roberts.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
