Woodrow Malone Jr., 72, of Watertown, died Thursday morning at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Born in DeKalb County, he was the son of the late Yancy Woodrow Malone and Beulah Driver Malone.
He was also preceded in death by a sister Lynn Duke and brother Ralph Malone.
Junior was a retired lineman with DTC Communications and was a member of Round Lick Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Reba Bates Malone; a daughter Anita (Kirk) Holden; grandchildren Ethan Holden and Mary Ashley Holden, all of Watertown; a sister Linda Saylors of Smithville; three nephews;  and a niece.
Funeral services were held March 23 at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Don Elmore and Rev. Steve Mayle officiating. Interment was at the Bates Family Cemetery.
