Funeral services for Anthony Wayne Wright, 45, of Dowelltown were held Nov. 25 in the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. B.J. Thomason and Bro. Jason Lohorn officiated burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery.
He passed away on Sunday morning, November 23.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church, a Lieutenant in the Smithville Fire Department for 23 years, and employed at Bridgestone.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Bing Wright; grandparents, Hershel and Pearl Wright, and Dub and Doris Bing.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie Wimberly Wright; two sons, Seth Ashton Wright and Cole Grayson Wright all of Dowelltown; father and step-mother, Eugene and Darlene Wright of Hendersonville; brother, Michael Wright of Smithville; special aunt and uncle, Bill and Sue Higham of Smithville; mother-in-law, Queda Hawkins Ferrell of Smithville; father-in-law, James Wimberly of Woodbury; sisters-in-law, Michelle Bailey of Woodbury, and Debbie Gaither of Smyrna; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins. friends at Calvary Baptist Church, Smithville Fire Department, and several other special friends also survive
Pallbearers included David and Terry Robinson, Ricky Johnson, David Kilgore, Bobby Johnson, and Randy Vaughn.
The local fire departments were honorary pallbearers.
In addition to flowers, donations can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
