Funeral services for Zack Ferrell, 18, of Smithville, were held July 3 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following in DeKalb Cemetery.    
Mr. Ferrell passed away July 1 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center ER from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He worked at Nissan and was affiliated with Liberty United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Ferrell and grandmother, Wilma Ferrell.
Survivors include his father, Wade Ferrell of Smithville; brothers and sisters, Shaun, David, Hannah, Rachel, Emilee and Collin Ferrell; maternal grandparents, Walter and Faye Ferrell of Smithville; paternal grandfather, Ellis Ferrell of Smithville; aunts and uncles, Marshall and Beverly Ferrell, Frances and Ricky Martin, Darnette Hibdon, Davey and Jessica Ferrell, all of Smithville; several cousins; and his girlfriend, Haley Lawson.
Pallbearers included Dewayne Carlton, Terry Hibdon, Chase Ferrell, Zack Goldstein, Andy Malone, Chris Johnson, Daniel Johnson and Zach Malone.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
