Zackary Scott King, 48, of Smithville, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 11 at his residence. Scott was a member of the Assemblies of God and a diesel mechanic.
He was born Sept. 2, 1969 to his parents, Judy Clemmons King and the late Charles Houston King.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry D. King, Elvie Eron King, Zack Clemmons and Louise Moses.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle King of Smithville; daughter, Grace King of Smithville; mother, Judy King of Athens, Ala.; sister, Penny (Sammy) Mason of Athens, Ala.; brothers, Mike (Carol) King of Killen, Ala., and Charles “Chuck” King of Athens, Ala.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis and Louise Prater of Smithville; sister-in-law, Jessica Wright of Cookeville; brother-in-law, Jason (Starra) Hodges of Athens, Ala.; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service was conducted Wednesday, Aug. 15 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Glenn Burks officiating and burial following in DeKalb Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Sammy Mason, Michael King, Bobby King, Jason Hodges, Noah Hodges and Mike Bowman.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel of Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
