Dry Creek Flashes - Dry Creek revival a great experience

Dry Creek Baptist Church had a wonderful fall revival on Aug. 10, 11, and 12.  A message from God’s word was brought nightly, along with some great singing.  Thank you to those that attended, we know you experience God’s great love and mercy.

We send out special get well wishes to Mr. Tommy Prichard of Alexandria.  His wife, Marlene, is a dear friend of the family.  We pray Tommy has better days ahead.

August birthday wishes goes out to the following:  Jared Hendrix (grandson on the 1st), Michelle Kent (granddaughter on the 5th) and Matt Cripps (grandson on the 18th).  Our little twin great-grandson’s Ledger and Kaius Cripps celebrated their 4th birthday a few week ago in Murfreesboro at the Go Kart.  Many family and friends attended this Mario Brother’s themed celebration.

The Mandeville plant is full of pink blooms.  It is just a true joy to look out and see this vining plant in all its beauty.  We have heard that Tim and Debbie Staley have their mail box with beautiful ones on each side.  Hopefully the cooler weather will hold off and let us enjoy these pants for many more days.

Jimmy and Judy Kimbrell, Old Mill Hill, hosted last Sunday’s dinner.  We enjoyed a new chicken recipe that Judy cooked up for us.  The meal was delicious and it was good to have Bruno and Geri Frazier home for the weekend.  Bruno is working on his farm house on Dry Creek.  He owns the family farm of the late Bernice and Nettie Jim Edge.  He is remodeling the existing house and clearing some of the brush off the farm land.   Geri has two dogs she trains and takes to shows in various states.  We enjoy seeing the female oldest dog named Annie.  It is amazing to watch these dogs compete.  Good job Geri!

We enjoyed an outing last week to Lebanon.  Breakfast at Cracker Barrel and a little shopping was on the agenda for the day.  It did storm while we were out, but it didn’t damper our spirits.  Thank you Lisa Cripps for a good day out of the house.

Thank you to neighbor Jeanette France for the good veggies and visits recently.    We think it has been a good year for gardens.  The tomatoes have been delicious.   It was good to see Twana France Box during one of Jeanette’s visits.
