Easter was such a special time. We celebrated Jesus’ resurrection from his death to life. The children enjoyed their Sunday school lessons and the egg hunts after church. Our family had a wonderful meal together and in the afternoon the adults hide candy, chips, etc. for the little ones to hunt. They always enjoy the adventure. A bunny usually visits during this part of the festivities. Lots of pictures are taken and by late afternoon everyone is worn out. We are thankful to have Buddy and Deborah Fuson home for Easter. They will be with us for two weeks.
We enjoyed helping set the tables with china. My daughter, Lisa Cripps, decided to use some of our really old china that hasn’t been used in years. We enjoyed looking at all the serving bowls and platters. One tends to collect a lot of dishes by the time you get one hundred years old, but each piece continues to bring back a sweet memory. This china was given to me by my late son, John Frazier, and his wife, Billie Ann. Both have gone on to be with the Lord, but we enjoyed thinking back on when the china was given to us. Precious memories.
Our community extends sincere sympathy to the family of Rickey Stanley. We pray God’s peace on them during the days ahead. Help us continue to pray for Tucker Hendrix who is recovering from heart surgery. He needs everyone’s prayers. Denise Rutland is home and progressing. Jimmy Kimbrell is able to be back at church and enjoying family functions. We know the Lord loves His children and will take care of them. He is in control even when it looks like our bodies health is are out of control. Thanks God for his healing power. Please continue to remember Jimmy and Judy.
He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”
