Dry Creek Church celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday. The congregation and guest rejoiced on this special Easter morning. The children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt after the services.
A lovely Easter dinner was served at my country home Sunday. Those attending were Jimmy and Judy Kimbrell; David, Monica, Levi and Molly Reynolds, Kenny Edge, Buddy and Deborah Fuson of Cabot, Arkansas, Ricky and Kathy Hendrix, Michelle and Brandon Kent, Jared, Jennifer, Sawyer, Maggie and Liam Frazier Hendrix, Jerald and Lisa Cripps, Tiffany and Greyson Cripps, Jordan, Christian, and Claire Cripps, and Dwight Cripps.
We also enjoyed a surprise visit from the Easter bunny after Easter dinner. My great-grandchildren were so excited to see the Easter Bunny and also enjoyed the Easter egg hunt in my back yard. Thanks to Kathy Hendrix for mowing my lawn and to Lisa Cripps and Rosea Young for the delicious meal they prepared. God is good!
Dr. Barbara Frazier of Florence, Alabama, visited me with several pots of flowering plants, some potting soil, and vegetable seedlings for planting at the proper time. These were very much appreciated. I always enjoy Barbara’s visits. She is Woodrow and I’s first grandchild.
Michele Kent and daughter, Elizabeth Miller of Lascassas, visited me on Saturday. Another visit from a granddaughter and great-granddaughter. They are so special and sweet to me.
Our prayers are for continued blessings and healing of Dr. Greg Ray of Adams, Tennessee. He is the son of Ernest and Elene Ray also of Adams, Tennessee. Mr. Ernest Ray is the retired principal of Smithville Elementary School, DeKalb Middle School, and DeKalb County High School. Our hearts and prayers are with the Ray families.
Jimmy and Judy Kimbrell received a special visit from his sister, Judy Beard of Loretta the weekend before Easter. She is such a sweet lady.
Get well wishes and prayers ae extended to my neighbor, Jeanette France. Jeanette has inner ear issues. She has been attended by her daughter, Tawiana Box of Brentwood and her grandchildren, Justin and Nickea. She reports she is doing better under their tender care. Jeanette has been a caring neighbor and occasionally brings me eggs and vegetables. Our love goes out to her.
Buddy and Deborah Fuson visited their son and his family, Jeff, Meg, Austin and Alayna of Springfield, Friday and Saturday. They attended a Tennessee Bass fishing tournament in Camden on Saturday. Austin was participating in the tournament. He is an avid fisherman!
Buddy and Deborah Fuson arrived at my home on Easter morning and plan to visit for a couple of weeks. Deborah is my middle daughter, and I greatly appreciate their visit.
