News here in the Dry Creek Valley is the canning of some green beans, a basket of peaches, a few cans of pickled okra, and the farmers cutting their third crop of hay. We are sad to report most of the gardens are only producing okra. The tomato plants have produced all they can and are drying up.
In NHC in Smithville is our beloved friend and neighbor, Mrs. Nonnie Tramel, we say hello to her and we love you.
Rita Fuson-Frazier, Hermitage, spent the weekend at the Frazier home. A wonderful meal was enjoyed by all on Sunday. On August 26 while enjoying an evening out on the patio, we witnessed the most brilliant, fiery red sunset in the western sky just over the maple tree. In over 101 years of my life, it was the most brilliant sunset ever observed. A few family members witnessed the beautiful site: grandson, Jordan Cripps, and great-grandson, Christian Cripps.
We still have many humming birds getting nectar from the flowers around the patio and the feeder. They are wonderful creatures to behold. Some of them are so familiar with our presence on the patio, they dart and fly all around us.
Thank you to Jimmy Womack for visiting last week. We send prayers and love to Jean Harney in her time of sickness. Please add Jean to your prayer list.
Happy September birthday wishes to the following: Monica Reynolds, Jimmy Kimbrell and Judy Kimbrell.
Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. Psalm 63: 7-8
