My mother used to have a saying, “winter is not over until it snows on the buttercups.” Well, we woke last Thursday morning to a snow on the buttercups, so now we can officially call winter over. We hope!
Our community was saddened to hear of the death of Joe Bowen. We are thankful for his police service and will continue to pray for his friends and family. Helen Burt of Alexandria lost a daughter, Debbie O’Conner, a few weeks ago. We pray for Helen and her daughter Vicki Corley in their time of grief. Helen lived many years in our community.
The annual Chamber Banquet is coming up on April 26th at the County Complex. That is a good time for everyone to come out and fellowship together with a meal. You can get your ticket at the Chamber Office or from any of the Chamber Board Members.
We send our love and prayers out to Tom and Georgie Cripps of Alexandria. Georgie fell a few weeks ago and fractured her back. Our prayers are with these dear people.
The local DeKalb Drug Prevention Coalition is hosting an Opioid Addiction and Information Conference on March 20th at the County Complex. Our community sends out Happy Birthday wishes to little Miss Molly Reynolds who turned four last Sunday. She celebrated with her family and friends at an athletic center in Lebanon. Molly enjoys everything Simmer and Shine. She is a special little girl, we all adore around the Frazier household.
