We just heard the five day forecast and it is predicting NO rain! This is great news! It has been so dreary to look out every day and see no sunshine. Hopefully this week will be the start of our spring weather.
The snowball bush is trying to bloom. Every plant has struggled to keep normal blooming pace with these cooler temperatures. The poor plants we purchased have been brought in and out many times. We are sure everyone looks forward to better weather.
Older American’s Day is on May 9 this year at the County Complex. It is a wonderful time to get out and enjoy this special event. Thank you Kathy Hendrixson for hosting this event again this year.
It is almost Relay for Life time in DeKalb County. That event is scheduled for May 11 at Green Brook Park. We are certain that everyone has a loved one or friend that has/is battling cancer. Everyone come out and help with this worthy event. Thanks you to those that have teams and booths, as well as, the DeKalb Committee for working so hard.
The Great American Clean-up is on May 5 starting at 9 a.m. from the County Complex. If you want to be a part of cleaning up an area of DeKalb, go help out during this wonderful event.
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Jordan and Justin Cripps who celebrated their birthdays on May 3. Daughter, Peggy Thomas, will celebrate her birthday on May 5, and son in law, Buddy Fuson, will celebrate on the ninth. We wish all of our dear family best wishes.
Many are sick and have lost loved ones. Remember the Lord wants you to be healed. He wants to comfort you in your times of sorrow. Trust in the Lord.
But I have trusted in your faithful love, my heart will rejoice in your deliverance. I will sing to the Lord because he has treated me generously.
