We all shoot from the lip sometimes

Are you quick to tell what you heard someone say..  What you saw on television or read on Facebook?

Just remember this...   Preachers, presidents, policemen and   principals/ teachers... are often held to a higher standard by the people..   And so the devil seems to work overtime in his efforts to bring them down..

If Satan is not able to produce facts he will often attack with unfounded rumors and ugly gossip.. and the public has bought the idea that where there is smoke there is also fire...

But in our day we have invented smoke machines which produce an abundance of what looks like smoke but is artificial and has no fire involved in its production..   So be careful my friends  ...

1 Thessalonians 5:22: Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Many good men and women have been ruined   and had doubt cast on their life by  those who are quick to start or spread unfounded rumors and outright lies…  Many people seem to delight in blowing smoke and telling lies about good people .  When this happens the devil wins a victory...    And we seem so eager to believe whatever bad thing we hear..

James 3:5: Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

James 3:6: And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

James 3:8: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

So hold your tongue ...   Your pastor or policeman may not be guilty of what you heard ...someone say.... and your president may not be guilty either...  We can all be quick to shoot from the lip sometimes..

And So Here I Stand...
