The 9U Machine Pitch League played through muddy fields last week, trying to get in some scheduled games.
On June 16, the Johnson Logging Sawduster battled the Good Health Flatliners in a close game.
Aliva Bata, Madison Dawson, Katherine Knowles, and Jazmine Wagner each had one run, while Briahna Murphy had two. Johnson and Knowles each had a double, while Murphy and Wagner had two doubles.
For the Flatliners, Jailyn King, Elizabeth Reed, and Caroline Tobitt each had one run, while Ellie Dillard and Tori Summers had two. Mackenzie Brindley, Dillard, King, and Tobitt each had a double during play.
The Flatliners stayed alive, 7-6.
The DTC Diamonds took on Headline’s Razors that same day.
Bella France and Cadee Griffith each had one run for the Diamonds, while Madison Martin and Kennedy Polk each had two. France and Martin each had a double, while Polk had two doubles. Griffith and Martin each had a triple.
For the Razors, Lacey England, Courtney London, Alyssa Pugh, Gracie Randolph, and Sadie West each had one run, while Mackenzie Sprague and Caley Taylor each had two. Jacey Hatfield had three runs. Hatfield, London, Pugh, and West each had a double, while Hatfield also took a triple.
The Razors got the 12-6 victory.
On June 19, another round of games was played, with 204 Fitness Center Buchanon taking on the Flatliners.
For Buchanon, Miranda Nix and Addison Warren each had one run.
Kyleigh Hill had one run for the Flatliners, while Mackenzie Brindley, Jailyn King, Elizabeth Reed, Tori Summers, and Caroline Tobitt each had two. Tristen Evans, Hill, King, Summers, and Tobitt each had a double, while Summers had a triple. Reed had a homerun.
The Flatliners won, 11-2.
Guaranty Trust Tunks took on the Sawdusters that same evening, with Tunks getting a win.
For Tunks, Kinley Gregorym Blake Griffin, and Alie Tunks each had one run, while Hennessy Beaty and Chloe Posten each had two. Beaty, Hendrix, and Posten each had a double in the game.
Adrianna Bata and Brianna Winkler each had a run for the Sawdusters. Brianna Murphy had a double.
Tunks got the win, 7-2.
Wilson Bank & Trust Birdwell played the DTC Diamonds that day, with the Diamonds shining bright.
Addie Ahlgaud and Gracie Netherton each had a double for Birdwell in the game.
For the Diamonds, Bella France, Madison Martin, and Morgan Walker each had a run. Aly Griffith, Martin, and Walker each had a double, while France had two doubles. Cadee Griffith had a triple.
The Diamonds got the 3-0 victory.
On June 21, the 9U league played some makeup games that had been postponed due to weather.
Tunks faced off with the Razor in a close game.
Lanah Cochran, Kinley Gregory, Blake Griffin, Arianna Hendrix, and Alie Tunks each had one run for Tunks, while Madison Baskin, Hennessy Beaty, and Angelina Dodd each had two. Jodie Berne, Griffin, Lakin Judkins, and Tunks each had a double, while Dodd and Gregory each had a triple.
For the Razors, Xharia Lyons, Caley Taylor, and Sadie West each had one run, while Jacey Hatfield and Mackenzie Sprague each had two. Lacey England and Courtney London each had three runs. London, Taylor, and West each had a double, while Hatfield and Lyons each had a triple. Hatfield also recorded a homerun.
The Razors inched by with a 13-11 win.
The Razors also battled the Diamonds that day, but it would not have the same results as before.
Lacey England, Jacey Hatfield, Gracie Randolff and Sadie West each had one run for the Razors, while Mackenzie Sprague had two. Briar Williams and Hatfield each had a double in the game.
For the Diamonds, Madison Martin and Morgan Walker each had one run, while Aniston Farler, Aly Griffith, Reanna O’Connell, Kennedy Polk, and Kenlee Taylor each had two. Cadee Griffith had three runs.
Bella France, Griffith, Griffith, Polk, and Walker each had a double, while Griffith and Griffith each had a triple.
The Diamonds won, 15-6.
