Big games for Minor League teams

The DeKalb Youth Baseball Minor League played several games last week with a couple of high-scoring but close matches.
On June 3, Vickers Grave Services faced off with Liberty State Bank in a one-point battle.
For Vickers, Gage Trapp, J.J. Pack, Avery South, and Jeremy Boren each had a run in the first inning, while Pack touched home again in the second. Boren, Isaac Newport, and Diego Coronado each had a run in the third.
Lucas Hale, James Tramel, and Kobbe Clary each had a run in the first inning for LSB. Brayden Antoniak, Levi Driver, Isaac Knowles, Tramel, and Clary touched home in the third inning, and Jase Bain topped off the team’s score in the fourth, giving LSB the 9-8 victory.
Robert’s Ice battled Los Lobos that same day, with Los Lobos coming away with a big win.
Robert’s Ice took the lead in the third inning with Kolter Kilgore, Konner Young, Brayden Carter, and Axel Aldino each coming in with a run. As it turned out, that would be the only scores of the game for Robert’s Ice.
Los Lobos tied things up in the fourth, with Jathan Willoughby, Caden Kyle, Jaden Johnson, and Chandler Johnson each touching home.
The game would go into extra innings, and it would be Los Lobos that would break the tie. Willoughby, Nate Crook, Josh Moon, David Judkins, and Chandler Johnson each coming in with runs. Los Lobos took the win, 9-4.
On June 6, Robert’s Ice was back on the field, this time against Liberty State Bank.
Each team scored in the second inning, with Axel Aldino scoring for Robert’s Ice, while Lucas Hale came in for LSB.
Brayden Carter scored for Robert’s Ice in the third inning, with Aldino scoring again in the fourth. But it was LSB pouring it on in the third that took the game, with Levi Driver, Jordan Young, Lucas Hale, Jase Bain, and Colten Kirby each getting runs. LSB got the win, 6-3.
Vicker’s Grave Service faced DeKalb Community Bank in yet another close match.
For Vicker’s, Logan O’Conners and Holden Trapp each had a run in the second inning, while J.J. Pack, Avery South, Trapp, Jeremy Boren, and Isaac Newport each scored in the third. Pack and South added to the total in the fourth.
DCB put three points on the board in the first, then turned up the heat in the fourth. Andrew Vickers, Grayson Hendrix, and Conner Crabtree each touched home in first, then Vickers, Dylan Trapp, Hendrix, Crabtree, Matt Vickers, Matt Keaton, and Peyton Hallium each scored in the fourth.
DCB inched by for the 10-9 win. 
On June 7, Robert’s Ice played Vicker’s, with Vickers coming out on top.
For Robert’s, Konner Young and Saxson Bain each came in with runs in the first inning, and Elijah Ramos crossed home plate in the second.
For Vicker’s, J.J. Pack, Logan O’Conners, and Isaac Newport each had a run in the first inning, while Holden Trapp and Evan Sprague each came home in the second. Trapp and Jeremy Boren each scored in the third, while Justin Boren and Gage Trapp scored in the fourth.
Vicker’s took the 9-3 victory.
Los Lobos took on DeKalb Community Bank that day, with DCB showing some dominance with everyone on the roster getting a run.
For Los Lobos, Brett Walker and Chandler Johnson each got a run in the second inning, while Silas Cross and David Judkins each got a run in the third. Jathan Willoughby and Matt Rowe topped off the score in the fourth.
Grayson Hendrix and Conner Crabtree started off the scoring for DCB in the first inning. Andrew Vickers, Dylan Trapp, Hendrix, Landon Cripps, Matt Vickers, Matt Keaton, and Peyton Hallium each scored in the second. Drew Vickers, Hendrix, Crabtree, Wesley Hallium, Matt Vickers, Keaton, and Peyton Hallium each had runs in the third, and Trapp, Hendrix, Matt Vickers, and Keaton each scored again in the fourth.
DCB got the huge victory, 20-6.
