Big turnout for Tigerette dodgeball tourney

The DCHS Tigerette Softball Booster Club hosted a “Last One Standing” dodge ball tournament at Northside Elementary School Saturday. The turnout to support the Tigerette program was impressive, with 20 men's and women's teams signing up for the competition.

 

“Average Joe’s,” consisting of Tigerettes Lexi Bates, Hannah Panter, Maddi Dickens, Myranda Bailiff, Maddison Parsley, and Kayley Caplinger took first place in the women’s division, while second place, along with the award for best-dressed team, went to “All Dodge No Balls,” with Annieka Norton, Lindsey Taylor, Brandi Norton, Mindy Versluis, Katie Hall, Crystal Vickers, and Chelsey Brannon on the team.

 

Third place in the women’s division went to “Teach Me How to Dodgie,” with Chelsye Madden, Kristina Stephens, Kristian Nelson, Dondra Marcum, Victoria Bennett, Cynthia Woodard, and Morgan Atnip.

 

“The Mighty Duckers” took first in the men’s division. The Duckers were made up of John Barber, Sebastian Phillips, Lucas Phillips, Tyler Kent, Tyler Caldwell, and Zack Rowland.

 

Second Place in the men’s division went to “The Benchwarmers,” Tad Webb, Ethan Roller, Relley Yott, Waylon West, Kalab Ferrell, and Joey Agee, while the “Sniper Gang,” made up of Hunter Parkhurst, Gage Duggin,  Brady Bates, Alex Hall, John Roller, and Ian Johnson took third.

 

First place in the high-school division went to the “Snoop Dodgers,” Paxton Butler, Christian Pruitt, John Maynard, Lee Randolph, Jacob Self, and Hunter Jennings. Second place went to “The Dirty Dodgers,” Riley Sexton, Jessie Smith, Omar Aldino, Colton Seifert, Braxton Linder, and Ethan Martin, and “Ball of Duty,” made up of Bill Miller, Daniel Puckett, Alan Munoz, Jake Ramsey, Dallas Cook, and Justin Washer took third

 

Tigerette Booster club member Renee Walker said that the club would like to thank the community for helping make this event a great success.
