Pokey's Bail Bonds defeated Bumpers' Blue Jays in a 14-11 contest on June 6.

 

Things began to heat up over at Bill Page Park last week as the competition was fierce in DeKalb County co-ed softball. 

 

First up on June 6, Taylor's Construction squeaked by The Real Estate Team, defeating them with a score of 8-7. Taylor's Construction had a total of four hits. Josh Lattimore banged out a triple and a single, Ben Waggoner had a single, and Sarah Phillips had a double. 

 

The Real Estate Team had a total of seven hits for the night. Carson Miller had a single, Allison Nash had a single, Adreana Cuevas and Bryson Lawson each knocked a double, Brayden Lawson and Jacob Lawson each added a single, and Conner Nash had a triple.

 

Next up for the night, Pokey's Bail Bonds defeated Bumpers' Blue Jays with a score of 14-11.

 

Pokey's had a total of 20 hits for the night. Pamela Six had a single, Isaac Lawson had three singles, Makenzie Bly had a double and two singles, Hunter Walker had a single, a triple and a home run, Elizabeth Gaines had a single, Christopher Lattimore had two singles, Izaiah Six had three singles, and Sayla McBroom added three doubles in their victory.

 

Bumpers' Blue Jays had a total of 17 hits for the evening. Kyra Baker had a triple, Lilly Waggoner had a single, double and triple, Ryan Thompson had a single and a double, Ally Bly had a single, Isaiah Bly had four singles, Melasia Gillis had a single and a home run, Bryson Farris had two home runs, a double and a single, and Lindsey Nokes had a double.

 

In the final game of the night, Napa Auto Parts defeated Riverwatch with a score of 17-14. Napa Auto Parts had a total of 21 hits for the night. Kylan Rhea had two doubles and a triple, Erin Burchfield had two singles and a double, Rylan Rhea and Alexis Bly each had a double, Chandler Vincent had a triple and a home run, Tanisha Ramirez had a single, Bubba James Stephans had two singles, Malasia Gillis had a single and a double, Orion Ittayem had a single and a triple, and Darren Waggoner had a single, two doubles and a triple.

 

Riverwatch had a total of 25 hits in the game. Jade Butcher had a double, Manie Murphy had two singles, Dalton Bain had two singles and two doubles, Destiny Richie had two singles, Dylan Cripps had a single, two doubles and a home run, Destiny Murphy had a single and a double, Ally Bly had a single, Nick Drennan had two doubles, Matthew Drennan had two singles, Thayton Salinas had two doubles, and Dominic Pasley had three singles.

 

On June 8, D&S Specialtees defeated Johnson Chiropractic with a final score of 32 - 1.

 

D&S had no hits in the game, but RBI's were had by Mia Gibbs, Katilynn Dyal, Gracie Dodson, Isaac Dyal, Riley Gibbs and Malachi Pylant. One hit was recorded for Johnson Chiropractic by Layla Newby, who hit a single.

 

In the second game, Bumpers' Blue Jays defeated Pokey's Bail Bonds with a score of 13 - 10.

 

Bumpers recorded 23 hits for the night. Ryan Thompson had three doubles and a home run, Quinton Stephans had two singles, a triple and a home run, Ally Bly had a single and a double, Isaiah Bly had a single, double and a triple, Bryson Farris had a double, Melasia Gillis had two singles and a double, Kyra Baker had three singles and a double, and Lindsey Nokes had two singles.

 

Pokey's Bail Bonds recorded a total of 18 hits in the game. Pamela Six had a single and a home run, Mackensie Bly had three singles, Hunter Walker had two triples and a home run, Elizabeth Gaines had three singles and a double, Christopher Lattimore had two singles, Izaiah Six had two singles, Berkley Pedigo had two singles, and Sayla McBroom had a single.

 

In the final game of the night, Riverwatch knocked off Chris & Sons with a final score of 23 - 8.
