DeKalb County’s own Chloe Boyd has been nominated for the Middle Tennessee High School Sports Award, one of the region’s highest honors recognizing elite high school athletes. The event is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards and is presented by Ponce Law in partnership with The Tennessean.
Chloe is one of just six female golfers selected for this year’s awards, a testament to her outstanding achievements during the 2024 golf season. She finished fourth in the TSSAA Class AA Individual State Championship and earned multiple accolades, including selection to The Tennessean’s All-Midstate Golf Team, the Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State Team, District MVP, and All-Region Player of the Year.
Averaging just 75 shots per round, Chloe claimed first-place finishes at The Early Bird Invitational, the Keith Maxwell Invitational, and the district tournament. Her consistent excellence also earned her the title of Mid-South Golf Series Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.
The awards show will honor top athletes across more than 20 sports, celebrating excellence, leadership, and dedication in high school athletics. Chloe’s nomination is a proud achievement not only for her and her family, but for the entire DeKalb County community.
