The DWS Bulldogs traveled to Gordonsville on Jan. 8, suffering a 29-22 loss.
While the teams came out of the first period even up at seven points, Gordonsville outscored DWS 9-7 in the second. The half-time buzzer sounded with DeKalb trailing 16-14.
The Bulldogs allowed the team from Smith County to outpace them 5-3 in the third. The score stood at 21-17 Gordonsville at the beginning of the fourth period.
GMS again outscored DWS in the fourth, putting up seven points and allowing the Bulldogs only five, and Gordonsville took the win.
Dallas Cook scored 14 points in the game for DeKalb West. Cook went 6-for10 from the foul line, and hit four two-point shots. Cody Antoniak, Noah Driver and Lucas Hale put in two points each.
