The DeKalb West Bulldogs and the Lady Bulldogs got big wins over the Union Heights Elementary Redcoats on eighth-grade night Tuesday. The Bulldogs defeated the team from Carthage in a 43-30 contest, while the Lady Bulldogs dropped the Lady Redcoats 27-10. The Bulldogs bit down on the Redcoats with a 14-4 lead by the end of the first period of the game, and outscored Union Heights 8-4 in the second, giving DWS a 22-8 lead at halftime.
