The co-ed softball teams at Bill Page Ball Park celebrated the end of the season with an awards ceremony last week. Aspen Flarity took the Danny Judkins award, named for one of the founders and longtime coaches in the league who recently passed.
Destinee Ritchie was given the Jacky Daniels award, and the Edgar Evins Marina Lakers got the sportsmanship award for the season. Bill and Joann Page were also honored for their years of service in DeKalb County softball.
Bumpers Drive In was awarded first place in the Baby Doll division, while Liberty State Bank was second. Jeremy Trapp/Mayor’s Kids placed third in Baby Doll, and The Big Bounce came in fourth.
Johnson chiropractic took top honors in the Junior category, and St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital placed second. Third place went to Pokey’s Bail Bonds.
The end of the season saw D and S Specialtees top the Senior division, with Napa Auto Parts taking second place. The Edgar Evins Marina Lakers finished up in third.
