The Cookeville Regional Medical Center Golf Classic is quickly approaching. This year, the featured celebrity guest will be former Tennessee Oiler and Baltimore Raven Derrick Mason. The tournament is again a two-day event with a four-person scramble format to be held Thursday, Aug. 18 and Friday, Aug. 19 at the Golden Eagle Golf Club, formerly the Cookeville Golf Club. A celebrity dinner will be held on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at the Leslie Town Centre, 1 W. 1st Street in Cookeville.  Major sponsors of the Golf Classic include Larco Medical and Pharmacy Inc., Turner and First Tennessee.

A few remaining golf team slots are available. Those interested in signing up a four (4) person team are encouraged to do so quickly by completing the form found at www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.org or calling the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation office at 931-783-2003. One team of four players is $700.

The celebrity dinner event on Thursday evening is nearly sold out. The event will include fine dining and a presentation by Derrick Mason followed by a question and answer session led by local sports authority Buddy Pearson.
