Homecoming royalty has been announced for DeKalb County High School. This year’s queen is Miss Leah Davis.
Davis is a senior and the 17 year-old daughter of Kerry and Glenda Davis. She is a member of the DCHS ACT 21+ Club, National Society of Leadership and Success, Student Government Association where she is the Spirit Committee Chair, Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Literature Club, Science Club, Climate Crew and the Vice President of the Class of 2021. She is also a member of the tennis team, Lady Tiger Basketball and Football Cheer Squad. While in high school has been the 2020 American Legion Auxiliary Volunteer Girls State Delegate, Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour Essay Contest Winner, Junior Usher for the 2020 graduation, 2021 Junior Class Favorite and Freshman Homecoming Attendant. She is a member of Upper Helton Baptist Church in Alexandra, a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Her future plans include attending the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in business.
Her court consists of seniors Presley Suzann Agee and Alexis Catherine Cudney, junior Addison Puckett, sophomore Morgan Rhea Walker and freshman Chloe Faith Lawson.
Presley Agee is the 17 year-old daughter of Michael and Kelly Agee. She is a senior and a member of HOSA Club, Beta Club and FBLA. She is the captain of the football and basketball cheer teams, and was a baseball manager her freshman and sophomore year. She was awarded Most Valuable Cheerleader her junior year, Best Cheer her sophomore year and Best Jumps her freshman year. She was also named All American Cheerleader. She is a member of Outreach Baptist Church.
Alexis Cudeny, is the 17 year-old daughter of Marnie Horton and Christian Cudney. Also a senior, she is a member of the Beta Club and Climate Crew. She is a four-year football manager. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and at the end of her high school career will have accrued 27 dual enrollment hours thought MCSS. Alexis was voted wittiest and most responsible by the DCHS football team her sophomore and junior year. In addition to attending high school, she works two jobs, manages football and is completing three college courses through MCSS. After school she plans to attend Tennessee Tech University where she wants to major in education. Her dream is to become a middle school mathematics teacher and stay involved in football. After receiving her teaching degree, she plans to go back to school to study sports medicine and possibly become a trainer.
Addison Puckett is the 16 year-old daughter of Jimmy and Anita Puckett. A junior, she is a member of the Beta Club, Literature Club, FCA, Spanish Club and Climate Crew. He is a three year football cheerleader and three year completion cheerleader and was nominated for All American Cheerleader. Addison is actively involved at Outreach Baptist Church. She participates in Outreach with the OBC Youth. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family of two sisters and a nice and nephew.
Morgan Rhea Walker is the 15 year-old daughter of Jason and Renee Walker. A sophomore, she is a member of the Beta and FBLA clubs. She has been a member of the Tigerette Softball team for two years, a football cheerleader for two years and a basketball cheerleader for one year. She is a member of Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church where she is active in the youth group.
Chloe Faith Lawson is the 14 year-old daughter of Victoria Poteete and Adam Denney. A freshman, she is a football cheerleader and member of the Tigerette Softball team. She was elected All American for two years. She also plays on a travel softball team.
