The DCHS ladies soccer team traveled to Cumberland County on Aug. 20 to open the season by facing the Lady Jets on their home field, and returned to DeKalb County with a 2-1 win over the Lady Jets on the books. Goalie Jessica Billings helped the DeKalb defensive effort in holding the Cumberland girls to on3e point by racking up an impressive 14 saves during the game. Haleigh Bass put both of The Lady Tigers goals in the net, scoring once in the ninth minute of play, and again in the 74th minute.
