The DCHS boys’ soccer squad took Cannon County down in a 5-0 game in Woodbury on April 5.

Brandon Ortega, Cristobal Flores, Wesley Carpenter, Andrew Fuson and Luke Bryant all contributed goals to the DeKalb Offensive effort. Goalie Jose Torres recorded five saves in the game, while Wesley Carpenter prevented three from going into the net.

DeKalb’s senior night celebration on April 5 was marred by a 3-1 loss to Smyrna.

Despite an incredible 17 saves by Carpenter, DeKalb managed one goal, by Flores with an assist from Brady Gill, in the game, while allowing three Smyrna goals through.

District tournaments began Monday for the soccer team. More on this in next week’s Review.
