DCHS soccer defeats Warriors

The DCHS soccer team handed White County a 7-1 beating on April 5.

 

Roberto Mata put four goals in for DeKalb, scoring in the 11th, 15th, 20th and 21st minutes of play. Cristobal Flores put in an assist for Mata in the 11th minute, and scored himself in the 36th minute. Bruno Ramirez put a goal through in the first minute of the game, and Brandon Ortega added one in the 16th minute.

 

Goalie Skyler Pease had five saves in the match.

 

The junior varsity team also took a win home from Sparta, defeating the Warriors 5-0.

 

Dylan Easterwood and Parker Gassaway scored twice in the contest. Noah Morris put one in the net in the 18th minute of play. 

 

Goalie Wesley Carpenter had 10 saves in the match.

 

The DeKalb team competed in the FCHS Tournament last weekend. Those results in next week’s Review.
