DCHS soccer records more wins

The DCHS Tiger soccer team defeated Watertown in an 8-0 match on March 29.

 

Contributing to the DeKalb win were goalies Skylar Pease with five saves and Wesley Carpenter with two. On offense, Roberto Mata put in goals in first 10th 20th minutes of the first half of the game, while Miguel Rodriguez scored in the 13th and 30th minutes of the first half.

 

Mata put another goal through in the first minute of second half as well, Dylan Easterwood scored in the 24th minute and Cristobal Flores added one in the 39th minute. Bruno Ramirez and Miguel Ramirez recorded assists in the game.

 

DeKalb hosted Cascade High School on March 24, taking a 7-1 win.

 

Pease recorded an amazing 14 saves at the goal, while Mata scored in the fourth, eighth, ninth minutes of play. Brandon Ortega put one in the net in the fifth minute, Dylan Easterwood scored in the 28th and 30th minutes, and Flores placed a goal in the 31st minute of the game.

 

The team will travel to compete in the Friendship Christian tournament on Friday and Saturday, and will travel to McMinnville to face the Pioneers on March 14.
