The DCHS girls soccer team had a productive week, first defeating York Institute on Tuesday, then giving Sequatchie County a drumming on Thursday, leaving the Ladies undefeated on the season so far, including a first-place win on their pre-season Playday. In the game against York on Aug. 25, DeKalb faced the Dragons in Smithville, and a fine performance, which included 17 saves by goalie Jessica Billings, put another win in the Lady Tigers column in a 3-1 game. Anna Rachel Blair put one in the net for DeKalb in the eighth minute of play with an assist by Angeles Soto.
