The Tigerettes hit a rough patch on the pitch Tuesday night, Aug. 15, as they fell to Macon County 6-0, coming off a successful play day where they won second place. But the season has just started and there was no quit as they upped their game in the second half.

In a heated battle Thursday, Aug. 17, the Tigerettes took on a tough Community team. Down 3-0, DeKalb’s Anna Rachel Blair found the net to make it a 3-1 ballgame just before the break. Community kept up the heat in the second, scoring three goals, giving the Tigerettes a pretty deep deficit. Robin Pafford found the back of the goal at the 61-minute mark and Sarah Starnes scored just before the buzzer to make it a 6-3 final.
The Tigerettes play a district matchup at home Thursday, playing host to Stone Memorial. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
