The DeKalb County High School Tennis team opened up their season last week with matches over White County and Cumberland County.
On Tuesday, March 16, the team played on their home court in Smithville as they hosted White County. Both the boys' and girls' tennis teams won their matches. The boys won their match 7 – 2 while the girls won 6 – 3.
Tennis matches consist of six singles matches and three doubles matches. Scores are below.

On Thursday, March 18, the team traveled to Cumberland County, where the girls lost 5-3.
On the boys' side, Cumberland only had two players. In those matches Garrett Hayes won 6-0, while Levi Driver won 6-0. They then went on and won 6-0 in doubles.
