DeKalb Fishing Team members Mason Taylor, Wesley Kent, Jaxon Humphrey and Hasten Waggoner wrapped up practice and competed in the Strike King Bassmaster High School National Championship on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina.

The boys’ tournament began early last Thursday morning, launching from Green Pond Landing. The weather conditions were extremely hot.

The Teams members said it was an honor to represent Tennessee and DeKalb. “Once again we want to say a big thank you to all our sponsors and the DeKalb community for their support. The 22/23 season has come to close with two teams making to the nationals and we are excited for the upcoming 23/24 season to begin.”
