The DeKalb Middle School Saints continued to dominate the soccer field last week with two more victories, a win over White County, and another over Jackson County.
On April 14, the Saints were on their home turf where they faced off with White County.
The first half started off with DeKalb scoring first on a penalty kick, scored by Cristobal Flores. White County would come back before the end of the half however, scoring two goals, one of them being an "own goal" by DMS. The half would finish with White County leading, 2-1.
In the second half, DMS came out and scored quickly with a goal from Daniel Munoz. The Saints would add two more before the end of the game, with goals by Dylan Easterwood and Luis Hernandez.
DeKalb took the win, 4-2, and had a total of 27 shots on the day.
On April 17, the Saints were again at home, this time against Jackson County. The first half would start with DMS scoring first, and scoring three more before the end of the half.
The second half would be no different, with the Saints adding four more goals, for a final score of 8-0. Scorers for the Saints were Cristobal Flores with four goals, Luis Hernandez with two goals, and Daniel Munoz and Dakota White each with a goal of their own. DMS had a total of 45 shots.
DMS later won the Junior Varsity game 1-0.
