In the boys' game, the game was close in the beginning, but the Saints would soon pull away big time. Sparta kept right with them, scoring six points of their own.

Cody Love had a three-pointer, a pair of two-point shots, and a free throw, while Seth Fuson, Ian Barnes, and Maddox Hale each had a three-point basket of their own. Sparta was held to only five points, giving DMS the 23-11 halftime lead.
