Between rain storms throughout the week, the Junior Coach Pitch League managed to get in a few games, with several decided by very few points.
On June 3, Kilgores’ Tigers faced off with the Liberty State Bank Mustangs in a very close game.
For the Tigers, Martin Coronado and Mason Taylor each came in with one run, while Alex Lemons scored twice. Kora Kilgore, Jaxson Panker, and Aidan Turner each had three runs. Nickolas Daw, Panker, Taylor, and Turner each had a double in the game, while Kilgore and Lemons each had two doubles. Lemons also had a triple.
Hayden Lincoln, Mason Neely, and Zayleigh Washer each touched home for the Mustangs, while Blaine Atnip, Jaylie Cowan, Devin Fish, and Hayden Marrow each scored twice. Atnip and Fish each had a double, while Lincoln had two. Cowan and Neely each had a triple, and Lincoln and Marrow each had a homerun.
The Tigers squeaked by for the 13-12 victory.
That same day the Hannah Law Legal Beagles met the Johnson Chiropractic Manipulators in a close game.
The Beagles’ Peyton Guess, Bradley Pelham, Austin Vickers, and Lilliana Vickers each scored one run in the game, while Cale Brown, Dylan Cathey, Isaac Hannah, Bryna Pelham, and Katherine Vickers each got two. Cathey and Pelham each had a double in the game, while Hannah had two. Cathey, Redmon, and Vickers each had a triple, and Brown, Vickers, and Vickers each had a homerun. Pelham had a good night with two home runs.
Kollin Young got one run for the Manipulators, while Hunter Buchanan, Jon Hendrix, and Jamison Hooper each got two. Aaron Maple had a double in the game, while Buchanan had a triple. Hooper had two triples.
The Beagles won the game, 14-7.
The Sideline Talk Chargers took on the DeKalb Funeral Chapel Titans that same day, with the Titans getting a big win.
For the Chargers, Seth Cardin scored one run, with Bryson Arnold coming in with two. Luke Midgett and Zeva Robinson each had three runs. Cardin, Midgett and Robinson each had a double in the game, while Logan Duke had two doubles. Izayah Dowell had a triple, while Midgett had two triples. Arnold had a homerun.
Kinsey Savage and Kylee Savage each had two runs for the Titans, while Avery Agee, Caroline Crook, and Tucker Webb each touched home three times. Agee, Jordyn Agee, Nathan Grubb, Savage, and Savage each had a double, while Crook had two doubles. Savage and Webb each had a triple, and Avery Agee and Webb each had a homerun.
The Titans won, 13-9.
The Vester Parsley Legal Eagles battled the Judkins & Slager Law Hawks that day in a game that was decided by one point.
Tyler Belcher, Chaylea Lunsford, Isabelle Reed, J.T. Summers, and Braxton Taylor each had one run for the Eagles.
For the Hawks, Hannah Keith and Mackenzie Neal each got one run, while Maria Little scored two runs. Paityn Barnes, Kiece Hannah, and Keith each had a double during play, while Little had a triple.
The Eagles soared with a 5-4 win.
On June 6, another round of games was played, starting with the Legal Beagles facing the Titans.
Peyton Guess and Lilliana Vickers each got one run for the Beagles, while Cale Brown and Bryna Pelham each scored two. Guess, Pelham, and Vickers each had a double in the game.
For the Titans, Kinsley Savage scored one run, while McKenna Miller had two. Avery Agee and Caroline Crook each scored three. Agee and Webb each had a double.
The Titans took the victory, 12-6.
The Mustangs showed some muscle against the Legal Eagles that same day.
Cali Agee, Blaine Atnip, Madison Byars, Hayden Lincoln, and Mason Neely each had one run for the Stangs, while Raylie Cowan and Zayleigh Washer had two. Devin Fish and Hayden Marrow each had three runs. Atnip and Lincoln each had a double, while Byars had two. Agee had a homerun, while Fish and Marrow each had two homeruns.
For the Eagles, Kobe Curtis scored the team’s one and only run.
The Mustangs won, 15-1.
The Manipulators took on the Law Hawks in a close game.
Hunter Buchanan, Bryson Lawson, and Ethan White each had one run for the Manipulators, while Ian Smith had two. Jon Hendrix, Jamison Hooper, and Kollin Young each had three runs. Buchanan, Hooper, Aaron Maple, and Smith each had a double, while Young had two. Hooper had a homerun.
For the Law Hawks, Savory Brown, Hannah Keith, Maria Little, and Sydney Polk each had one run, while Paityn Barnes and Kiece Hannah each had two. Brown, Ivy Elrod, and Washer each had a double, while Barnes and White each had two. Barnes had a triple, and Hannah recorded a homerun.
The Manipulator came out on top, 14-11.
The Chargers went up against the Davis Auto Body Bandits that same day, with the Bandits getting a big victory.
Laura Magness and Luke Midgett each had a run for the Chargers, while Bryson Arnold and Zeva Robinson each got two. Dowell, Midgett, and Robinson each had a double, with Arnold coming away with two doubles. Midgett had a triple in the game.
Canaan Johnson, Ryan Lyons, and Gracin South each got a run for the Bandits, while Rickey Bullard and Kolby Slager each had two. William Blair, Luke Johnson, and Aiden Taylor each had three runs. Johnson, Johnson, Evan Prichard, and Taylor each had a double in the game, while Blair had two doubles. Lyons and Taylor each had a triple.
The Bandits made out like, you know … bandits, getting the 16-6 win.
