While the DeKalb County Fair’s rodeo was rained out on Monday night, some traded saddles and horseshoes for gas tanks and knobby tires. The ATV rodeo tested drivers’ skills at navigating obstacles while trying to gain the best time.
In the 70-80cc 2-Stroke Stock/105 Down 4-Stroke class, J .T. Brown got first place in barrels, poles, and keyhole, with Marissa Hughes coming in second. John Kelly Lish got third place in keyhole.
Cody Roberts got first in barrels, poles, and keyhole in the 90cc 2-Stroke/150 Down 4-Stroke class, while John Kelly Lish came in second.
In the Open Girls under 12-years-old class, Gracie Winfree got the top spot in barrels, poles, and keyhole, while Hayden Bush came in first in barrels, poles, and keyhole in the pro-stock class.
Bryson Slagle came in first place in barrels, poles, and keyhole in the 70-80cc 2-Stroke Mod./105 4-Stroke Mod. class, while in the 110 2-Stroke Mod./175 4-Stroke Mod. class, Neil Brown came away with first place in barrels, second in poles, and first in keyhole. Cody Roberts got second in barrels, first in poles, and second in keyhole, and Hayden Bush got third in barrels, poles, and keyhole.
In the 200cc 2-Stroke/350cc Down 4-Stroke class John Barrett took first place in barrels with Dwayne Glass coming in second.
Genoa Dennis took first place in barrels in the 250cc 2-Stroke/400cc 4-Stroke. Bryson Slagle got second place and Josh Tramel took third.
In the Open ATV class, Travis Matthews came in first in barrels, second in poles, and first in keyhole, while Steve Winfree got second in barrels, first in poles, and second in keyhole. Eric Henry got third in poles and keyhole, with Jonathan Dennis coming in third in barrels.
