The first DeKalb County Fair 5K Fun Run is in the books.Rolando Navarro was the overall winner, covering the distance with a time of 23:29 for the race, held Saturday morning in Alexandria.James Sullivan crossed the line in second place with a time of 26:17.Kelly Pyburn took the third place award with a time of 28:09.Damien Sullivan of Alexandria took first place in the competition for children up to 12 years old. Addison Oakley of Liberty garnered second place, Abby Evans of Smithville took third, and Garrett Hayes of Liberty placed fourth.Bailey Hayes of Liberty took first in the 13-39-year-old category, Cason Oakley of Liberty came in second, and Jasmine Zervas of Alexandria placed third.Melissa Ruch of Smithville went home with first place in the 40-and-over division, Gena Cripps of Smithville took second, and Clark Oakley of Liberty placed third.
