The DCHS girls soccer team hosted Livingston Academy in Smithville on Sept. 1, getting their first non-win of the season when the match came out a 2-2 tie.

The DeKalb effort produced two goals by Angeles Soto, one in the 37th minute of play, and one in the 66th minute. Taylor Spare got the assist on Soto’s first goal.

While Goalie Jessica Billings posted a whopping 14 saves for the Tiger defense, an "Own Goal" by DeKalb in the 25th minute, added to a 54-minute score by Livingston’s Jaci Baltimore, left the game tied up at 2-2.

The tie brings the ladies’ record to three wins and one tie on the season. The team will travel to face Watertown tomorrow night (Sept. 10) at 6 p.m., then will host Smith County at home on Sept. 15.
