Local sportscaster Darvin Gill has taken the job as head girls’ basketball coach at Rhea County High School in Evansville.
Gill, a 1994 graduate of DCHS with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with concentrations in coaching and recreation administration from MTSU, has served as assistant girls’ basketball coach at DeKalb, Cannon, and White counties, will also be an educational assistant at the school, as well as other coaching opportunities.
Gill was an assistant to former DCHS Lady Tiger Head Coach Victor Harrison in 2004-05. He then worked as an assistant to head girls’ basketball coach Michael Dodgen at Cannon County High School from 2007 to 2015, when Dodgen went to White County High School, taking Gill along.
