DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints skunked Avery Trace Middle School Thursday 6-0 in Smithville with Kristen Hale pitching a no-hit shutdown through five straight innings.
Kristen hit two singles along with Emily Robinson’s double, Alex Foutch had a single, Dani Meadows a single, Katie Hall a single, Kayley Caplinger a single, Emily Robinson a single, and Loren Cripps a single.
They had five runs in the fourth inning with one run in the second  totalling 6 runs out of 9 hits.
In overtime, the Lady Saints junior varsity won 12-11 scoring two runs in the second inning, two runs in the third, four runs in the fourth, and four runs in the sixth overtime inning.
The pitcher, Kayley Caplinger struck out eight and walked eight. Kayley hit a double and a single along with Katie Hall two doubles and a single, Myranda Baliff two doubles, Dani Meadows a double and a single, Tyra Graham a double and a single, Alex Foutch with a double, Alexis Bates a single, and Hannah Panter hit a single.
