Register for WCTE’s 10th Annual Haunted Half Marathon

COOKEVILLE, TN – Registration is open for WCTE’s 10th Annual Haunted Half Marathon, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 a.m. and is the final race in this year’s Run the Cumberland Medal Series. Runners must be at least 14 years of age and are encouraged to dress up for this Halloween themed event, with all proceeds benefiting WCTE-Upper Cumberland PBS.

The Haunted Half traditionally attracts more than 400 runners from Middle Tennessee and across the country and is a certified course that is chip-timed by Tennessee Race Timing. Race director Tracy Epps has seen the race grow into a favorite in the region over the years.

“The Haunted Half Marathon has been part of our community for 10 years now,” said Epps. “It gives runners the chance to challenge themselves with this longer distance, and to do it right here at home with their friends and family to support them.”

Runners who complete the marathon will receive a haunted-themed finisher’s medal, and pre-registrants are guaranteed a performance shirt. Runners who completed the Run the Cumberland Race Series will also receive their Run the Cumberland Medal, and the runner with the best Halloween costume will also win a prize.

Runners who are 21 and older can receive a discounted VIP or general admission ticket for WCTE’s Blues and Brews Craft Beer Festival, held the same day in Dogwood Park from noon until 5:00 p.m. VIP tickets include catered food throughout the day and a beer tasting from more than 70 craft beers on tap.
