The 9U and 12U Machine Pitch leagues continued their seasons with several match-ups last week.
The Four Seasons Boat Storage Sharks played the J&S Construction Lady Commanders on May 20 in12U Machine Pitch action. In that game the Lady Commanders would come out strong, taking the win 16-6.
For the Sharks Leslie Hembree and Joni Robinson each got one hit, while Kennedy Agee, Lydia Brown, and Savanah White each took two. Megan Walker came away with three hits. Agee, Robinson, Walker, and White took doubles during play, with Brown getting a triple.
Madison Rackley, Kaitlyn Simmons, and Abbi Taylor each got one hit for the Lady Commanders, with Kaitlin Bain getting two. Kaitlyn Cantrell, Sarah Colwell, Broklynn Estes, Reagan Patton, Laynie Rippee, and Johna Summers each took three base hits. Estes and Rippee each had doubles in the game, while Patton and Summers came away with two doubles each. Colwell, Patton, and Rippee each recorded triples.
The Lady Hornets met Goldstar that same day, with the Lady Hornets taking the victory, 13-4.
The Lady Hornets’ Faedra Burns, Maddie Cook, Myla Dilligard, and Mary Murray came away with two hits each, while Jadyn Dawson, Justice Dawson, and Destiny Franklin recorded three hits. Burns and Dilligard each had a double in the game, while Cook had two doubles.
For Goldstar Mackailyn Cherry, Kimberly Dodd, Stephanie Dodd, Julianne Ford, and Savannah Hesson each had one hit, while Southerlane Lawrance, Alexus Spoon, and Ivy Spoon came away with two hits. Dodd, Hesson, and Spoon each had a double in the game, while Lawrance took two doubles.
Also on May 20, Webbs Drugs met the DTC Diamonds in 9U Machine Pitch action. Webbs Drugs, another team with no last names listed on the roster, fell to the Diamonds 12-5.
Maria B., Natlie C., Emily M., and Tiandria R. each recorded a hit during play for Webbs, while Kendall B., Daejah M., and Mikayla N. each had two.
For the Diamonds Madison Martin and Kennedy Polk each had one hit, while Alexis Atnip, Katie Colwell, Aniston Farler, Jackyne Mclaughlin, Natalie Snipes, and Kenlee Taylor each had two hits. Farler, Griffith, Martin, and Mclaughlin each recorded a double, while Colwell, Farler, Snipes, and Taylor each had home runs.
