The DeKalb Junior Coach Pitch League was on the field last week, playing some regularly scheduled games, and making up for some postponed rain-out games.
On June 21, teams were on the field playing some makeup games that had been postponed due to rain.
The Tigers faced a tough team, the Bandits.
For the Tigers, Martin Coronado, Alex Lemons, Keara Milligan, and Morgan Smithson each got one run. Smithson had a double, while Lemons had a double and a triple.
Rickey Bullard had a run for the Bandits, while Canaan Johnson and Ryan Lyons each had two. William Blair, Luke Johnson, Kolby Slager, Gracin South, and Aiden Taylor had three runs. Johnson, Slager, and South each had a double, while Taylor and Johnson had two. Lyons and South each had a homerun.
The Bandits took another game, 20-4.
The Manipulators battled the Mustangs in a close game.
Samuel Banks, Hunter Buchanan, Jon Hendrix, Leah Johnson, Jacob Lawson, Aaron Maple, Ian Smith, Ethan White, and Kollin Young each had one run for the Manipulators, while Jamison Hooper had two. Buchanan, Hendrix, and White each had a double, while Banks, Hendrix, and Hooper had a triple.
Hayden Lincoln, Hayden Marrow, and Averie McMinn each touched home for the Mustangs, while Cali Agee, Jaylie Cowan, Devin Fish, and Zayleigh Washer each had two runs. Blaine Atnip had three runs. Agee, Fish, and Washer each had a double, while Atnip had two doubles. Lincon and Marrow each had a triple, while Agee had two triples. Fish had a homerun.
The Mustangs got the 14-11 win.
The Legal Eagles took on the Titans that same day.
For the Eagles, Tyler Belcher, Kobe Curtis, and J.T. Summers each had one run, each with a homerun.
Nathan Grubb, McKenna Miller, Jakayta Odom, Kinsley Savage, and Kylee Savage each had a run for the Titans, while Avery Agee, Caroline Crook, Maddox Hale, and Tucker Webb each had three. Agee, Hale, Miller, Savage, Savage, and Webb each had a double, while Agee, Agee, Crook, and Miller had a triple. Agee, Hale, and Webb each had a homerun.
The Titans took the 17-3 victory.
The Legal Beagles faced off with the Law Hawks that day, with the Beagles getting a huge score.
Brody Snow and Austin Vickers each got two runs for the Beagles, while Isaac Hannah, Emmalee Redmon, and Katherine Vickers each got three. Cale Brown came in with four runs, while Peyton Guess had five. Brown and Vickers each had a double, while Guess, Hannah, and Vickers each had two. Guess had a triple, while Vickers had two homeruns.
For the Law Hawks, Mackenzie Neal and Haylie Washer each got one run, while Ivy Elrod and Kiece Hannah each had two. Savory Brown and Sarah White each got three runs. Hannah, Washer, and White each had a double, while Keith had two. Brown and Elrod each had a triple, Hannah got a homerun, and White got two homeruns.
The Beagles got the 22-12 victory.
Next, the Legal Beagles faced the Legal Eagles in the battle of the law offices. Again, the Beagles would come out on top.
For the Eagles, Kobe Curtis had the team’s only run. Chaylea Lunsford had a double in the game.
Austin Vickers had one run for the Beagles, while Cale Brown, Peyton Guess, Isaac Hannah, and Katherine Vickers each had two. Vickers and Lillian Vickers each had a double, while Hannah had a triple. Guess and Vicker each had a homerun.
The Beagles beat the Eagles, 9-1.
The Mustangs took on the Chargers that day, with the Chargers running up the scoreboard.
Madison Byars, Devin Fish, and Zayleigh Washer each had a run for the Mustangs. Byars had a double in the game, while Hayden Marrow had a triple. Washer had a homerun.
For the Chargers, Izayah Dowell, Logan Duke, and Olivia Gilley each had one run, while Landon Colwell, Luke Midgett, and Reed Midgett each had two. Bryson Arnold and Zeva Robinson each had three runs. Duke, Midgett, Midgett, and Robinson each had a double, while Arnold had two. Colwell, Gilley, and Magness each had a triple, with Colwell and Duke taking a homerun.
The Chargers won, 15-3.
